It is one of the most competitive sectors in the region. El Salvador has an extensive range of products that meet the quality standards required by international markets.

In 2021, the amount exported in the food and beverage sector was US$513 million, representing 7.7% share in the export of goods

AGROINDUSTRY

The Salvadoran agro-industrial sector is internationally recognized for the quality of its traditional products. Some of the main products exported to foreign markets are coffee and sugar cane derivatives, as well as the diversification of the exportable supply to higher value-added products.

In the agro-industrial sector, an exported amount of US$ 765 million was recorded, making up a 11.5% share in the export of goods during 2021.
